"Take any MLS search-the number of short sales that are active and with contract is huge.  All contracts in our area require preapproval or proof of funds when an offer is submitted.  As sales associates, we have ready, willing and able buyers.  Yet two out of three short sales do not close.  The finance companies are non-responsive and extremely slow.  If all the viable contracts floating around would close, happy days!  The housing crisis would be over." said  Cathy Miller, Amerivest Realty, Naples.
